well there were no doubt in my mind better times in them olden days a lot what we are left with now are pale comparisons and mediocre replicas of what was real and natural at one time many clueless all seeking something that in the end has been done before and often done better
not all things just the things that seem to matter often
but paint drips and the brush still rules over fake computer driven imagery when you can sit a monkey in front of a computer and come up with something wonderful =then you have to wonder if something is easy to do does it still hold the truth is it still a breathing piece of art or is it the mirage of the 21st Century no one knows only god's nose
a Polaroid is an old fashioned way of shooting and sometimes you hit it just right like the air is right and the sky is that perfect blue
well limited in art maybe but not life you take all with you on the trip
time and peace need to be in order to properly delve into imagery and slide into paint whatever you do but i have painted during serious agitated times and done some amazing work nothing i could repeat when things calmed down
as a friend jokingly repeated to me awhiles back a mind is terrible thing to waste
it is sincerely not modesty as it is lucidity. i believe one cannot improvise himself artist in one year. i am confident i will become one with time, i have the passion and the eye for this. i just need to have more experience and much more reflexion on many artistic matters.... a lot of work to do.
they just are fascinated by the German language. they have only traveled to English and french talking countries and they liked the idea of reading German. my younger one is also a soccer freak, and Germany in his head means soccer.
but they also liked the calendar, and said the photos was great (you are lucky, all i get is "nice" and "not bad" sometimes i even get "weird" or "are you serious, mom" )
Hanan, I am very glad that you like it. It is my annual calendar give-away-for-friends and it was a spontaneous idea to give you one as well. With the present theme FRANCE and knowing that you are just a bit francophile The black and whites are a bit dark, though I believe, especially the December one. But the overall quality is alright, I agree. And, the Montpellier postcard is not a postcard, but one of my street-shots from 2008, done with my tiny little Selphy photo printer which is quite nice for things like these ...
