reminds me of the famous quote of Saint-Exupery :

"on ne voit bien qu'avec le coeur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux."

( we only see well with the heart . the essential is invisible for the eyes .)

i know it is not really what you wanted to say .
but your words created a mental image in my head that led to that association ... it reminded me of the book i so much loved as a kid (and still do as a grown up)

i hope to be able to see stuff with my eyes closed .

It kind of is what I wanted to say. Sometimes I just get all flummoxed with words. It never used to happen...but I was older then (to paraphrase Bob Dylan).
Younger than that now.
